  • How to Join the Woodworking Club

  • ·       Membership in the GVR Woodshop (Woodworkers of GVR) is open to all GVR members.
  • ·       Successful completion of Introduction to Woodworking: Orientation and Training classes, offered through GVR Leisure Education, and payment of annual dues are prerequisites for joining the Woodshop.  Class attendees are not obligated to join the Woodshop.
  • ·       The class consists of three consecutive daily sessions from 4-6 PM providing an introduction to the GVR woodshop resources and instruction on the safe use of woodworking equipment, including hands-on experience.
  • ·       Registration for Winter GVR classes begins December 9, 2024 and can be completed in-person at the GVR office in the West Center; by phone (520-625-0288) or on-line.  Follow instructions in the GVR Recreation Catalog.

The GVR Woodworkers Club provides a safe, well-maintained, organized wood shop where GVR members can explore woodworking crafts of all expertise levels. The 5800-square-foot shop is well-equipped and includes project layout areas and outdoor spaces for sanding and finishing. The club offers its members workshops from November through April.

Schedule: Monday, 8am-2pm.; Tuesday-Saturday, 8am-4pm.
